24+ YEARS OF SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA REAL ESTATE PRACTICE
BUILT ON LISTENING, DETAIL, AND INTEGRITY
There are more than 4,500 licensed agents in San Francisco. Most of them are genuinely good at this. So the real question isn't who's competent — it's who's right for you.
Are we the right fit?
I'm Lisa Thompson, and I built Dwell Real Estate San Francisco around that question. I can't answer it for you. But I can tell you what my clients say it's like to work with me, and I believe you'll quickly get an idea if we'd work well together...
You want minimal stress. The word clients use most about me is calm. Buying or selling here in the Bay Area is high-stakes and genuinely nerve-wracking, and a lot of my job is making the complicated feel manageable.
You don't want to be sold. I won't push you toward buying or selling. Period. We work together guided by your goals and timeline. One of my favorite reviews is from a client who hasn't found her place yet — we're still looking, and I'm not going anywhere.
You want to understand what's happening. I explain every step, including the parts that aren't fun. You'll have my honest read and everything you need to decide. The decision stays yours.
You want someone who sees the building, not just the listing. I came to real estate from architecture. I notice what's been done well, what's been papered over, and what it's likely to cost you down the road.
You want someone who doesn't let things slide. I ask the hard questions, I won't let a shortcut past me on your deal, and when someone pushes, I hold the line.
You'd like to actually enjoy it. Clients tell me the process was fun, which still surprises me a little. Twenty-four years in, most of my clients come back to work with me on multiple transactions. That's the part I'm proudest of.
If that sounds like the right fit, I'd love to hear from you.

ABOUT DWELL
THE PRACTICE I BUILT TO REFLECT
HOW I WORK FOR MY CLIENTS
I started Dwell Real Estate San Francisco in 2012 for the simple reason that I work for my clients and not an organization. I wanted the freedom to explore my entrepreneurial spirit within the real estate framework. Over the years, I have developed invaluable professional relationships within the local real estate community and have built a reputation among my peers for being highly professional, thoughtful, detail-focused and straightforward. These characteristics that I embody help me to represent my clients in the best light possible -- I take seriously my responsibility of being a reflection of clients in my care.
From your first home to your next move -- to everything that comes in between and after -- I offer thoughtful guidance, deep local knowledge, and the kind of personal care that comes from building long lasting relationships.
Dwell is about the chapters of your life. Different decisions that come into play. One trusted relationship to guide you through a process of arriving at the best option to reach your goals and dreams. Every part of how I work — from the way I listen at our first conversation to the way I stay in touch long after closing — comes back to you.

The guidance I provide is rooted in my personal journey as well as those of my clients — I've been the first-time buyer, the landlord, the renovator, the seller, and now my next phase of life has me exploring my next real estate chapter.
